Stopped in on vacation. Very nice clean. Got a suite room it was nice comfy bed. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The room rate was fair. The University is in walking distance walked around checked out the history. Was a bar and restaurant but it was closed when i arrived. Parking wasn't bad either. Would stay again.

Here for a business conference… this hotel is on campus and doesn’t actually look like a hotel from the outside… I’m in a King room on the corner… the room has a great view, very roomy, the bed is awesomely comfortable. Customer service was excellent… there is a historical flare to the interior… location is convenient but parking is a little tight. The amenities are average but good. It’s a great location for business conferences. Many rooms available for business classes, a ballroom and an atrium available to set up a buffet.

This hotel is all about the location to campus and the very nice and helpful staff who work there. Otherwise, it is in bad shape. Clearly the owners collect from their gold mine and don't bother to put a penny into the rooms. I have tried two different rooms there and both were awful. The rooms are dungeons with tiny cell-like windows. The furniture is dated and has visible damage. The carpets are disgusting. The bathrooms are the worst I have been in with no water pressure and no room to even stand. Prepared to get very wet turning on the shower. The only money that has been put into the place, is in areas where they can charge more money - the restaurant and snack area. I will not go back. The three stars were for the staff who were all great.

Debra in the restaurant took amazing care of our group 2 days in a row. Fantastic service! Had a great experience with the hotel in general from the front desk, bar, and room. I highly recommend the hotel for its service and excellent walkable location to UA.

This was not our first stay here but things have gone down hill. Great location if you need to be on campus. The rooms are comfortable but starting to show their age. Staff is friendly but service is nonexistent. We asked repeatedly to have our room cleaned as they skipped over us twice and the room wasn't that clean to begin with. When they did come, they simply gave us new towels and made the bed. Nothing was wiped up or cleaned. We went to the bar a couple of times and were largely ignored. They seemed to be out of most things and room service was also unavailable although I'm not sure why. I wouldn't go back.

First time staying here at Hotel Capstone. I stayed here while in Tuscaloosa for an Alabama basketball game. It's a very nice hotel with very clean rooms, and extremely friendly staff. It's located directly across the street from Coleman Coliseum and within walking distance of Bryant-Denny Stadium. I highly recommend Hotel Capstone and I will be a repeat customer. Thank you for a great experience!

Highly recommend! The reservation personnel were extremely helpful, from making my phone reservation to the final check-out. They even found an umbrella I could use, as the weather was extremely stormy during my stay.

Excellent location, very nice reasonably priced hotel, friendly staff and great rooms. We had a corner suite which was very spacious with 3 large sets of windows across 2 sides giving plenty of natural light.

A lot of history at this hotel. The rooms are old, as is most of the rest of the hotel. Location is everything. Price is always a little higher than average, regardless of on/off season. The restaurant/bar experience was terrible. Gnats. Lots of gnats. I realize it's Alabama, but if I wanted gnats, I'd eat outside. If you're starving, the food might be better than nothing, but if you're not starving, eat somewhere else.

We had a fantastic stay at this well appointed hotel. It is directly across from the aquatic center which was convenient for us. Entire hotel was spotless. Dining food and service was fantastic. Only negative was the bartender, completely apathetic and distracted using her phone during transactions. All else was top notch.
